Who we are
Colorful Wardrobe is operated by Wendy Barton, 151 Kalmus Drive, Coppertree Business Park, Building C, Suite 140, Costa Mesa, California 92626-7959. You can reach us at hello@colorfulwardrobe.com.
What we collect
When you take the quiz we record:
- The answers you select, and your result
- Which page or link brought you here, including campaign tags in the web address
- Your browser type and whether you are on a phone or a computer
- Your IP address, as part of ordinary web server and database logs
If — and only if — you ask for a consultation, we also collect:
- Your email address
- Optionally, whether you have had your colours analysed before
We do not ask for your name, your date of birth, your ethnicity, or any photograph. We do not process biometric information. There is no account to create and no password to remember.
Unless you request a consultation, quiz answers are stored against a random session identifier, not against you as a named person.
If you ask for a consultation
Consultations are booked and paid for on Stan Store, which is a separate company. All we receive from them is a name and an email address — so we ask for your email address here in order to match your booking to the answers you gave, and have them ready for your session.
Your email address is used only for that purpose. We will not add you to any mailing list, we will not send you marketing, and we will not share it with anyone other than the consultant preparing your session.
Your record is saved at the moment you give us the address, before you go through to Stan — so if you change your mind and don't book, it will still be held. Email hello@colorfulwardrobe.com and we will delete it.
Why we collect it
To work out your colour season and show you the result; to understand which content brings people to the site; and to improve the quiz.
Who we share it with
We use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database and image hosting
- Replit — website hosting
- Anthropic — writes descriptions of images we upload, so that the site works for people using screen readers. No visitor data is sent.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
Leaving this site
When you follow a link to buy a guide or book a consultation, you leave this website and go to Stan Store, which is a separate company with its own privacy policy and its own terms. Anything you enter there — your name, your email address, your payment details — is collected by them, not by us. We never see your payment details.
Cookies and similar technology
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep your place in the quiz and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for how a website should respond to it. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals, because we do not track visitors across other websites in the first place.
Third parties tracking you across sites
We do not permit third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activity across different websites when you use this site.
Reviewing or changing your information
If you asked for a consultation, email hello@colorfulwardrobe.com from the address you gave us and we will show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it.
If you only took the quiz, we have no name or contact details for you and generally cannot tell which session was yours. If you still have the link to your own result page, send it to us and we will delete that record.
Children
This site is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page, and where the change is significant we will note it prominently on the home page for at least 30 days.
