Find the colours that suit you now

Hair changes, and going grey changes it most of all. The season you were given years ago may not be the one you are today. This quiz asks about the hair you have now — and places you in one of twelve seasons, not four.

Why the answer you had before may not fit now

Most quizzes sort everyone into four seasons. Four is too broad to dress from — it is why two women both told “Autumn” can suit completely different colours, and why the result never quite works in a shop.

Grey and silver change the answer again. A quiz that asks what colour your hair used to be is describing someone you no longer are. This one asks about the hair you have today, with fourteen greys, silvers and whites to choose between.

How it works

  1. Answer twelve questions. Mostly looking in a mirror in daylight, and holding a couple of everyday things against your face.
  2. Get your season. With the runner-up shown too, honestly, because some people genuinely sit on a boundary.
  3. Know where you stand. If you are clearly one season, we say so. If you sit on a line between two, we say that instead of guessing — and then you can decide whether you want the guide, or a second opinion from Wendy.

Who is behind it

Wendy Barton trained and certified in the Color Me Beautiful system in London, and now works in California. If you had your colours done in the eighties or nineties, this is that same tradition — applied to how you look now, rather than how you looked then.
